Velkommen!
After hiking the Inka Trail with my mom for her 50th birthday adventure, I am back in Norway and in a new town for a while. My husband and I moved from Oslo to Bergen while I was away, meaning my husband had to do all the hard work, poor kid. Bergen is a beautiful coastal city and one of the oldest cities in Norway. It used to be the capital as it's coastline lies on the North Sea, which was good for trade. Now it is a capitol of tourism for Norway, holding music festivals in the summer, a full history, and clean access to great hiking areas. The area's rustic beauty can be topped by nothing. I don't know how long I will be here with my husband and trusty dog, Bento, but we are definitely taking advantage of the mountains. Now all we need is a couple of nice long sea kayaks.
I have posted mp3s of some of my music, lyrics to all of my songs, links to CD Baby where you can buy my album Blue Slate Zephyr (and also find other great musicians and songwriters.) After you have finished surfing this sight don't forget to sign up on the mailing list and check out the links to other great and interesting websites on the 'Links' page, as well as to find links to my Twitter and Myspace accounts. The Depressionist Letters and Poetics blog is usually posted a couple of times per month.
The Depressionist Letters and Poetics
The Depressionist Letters and Poetics is my pet project. It is an unscheduled and haphazardly published article written to explore the emotionality engendered by depression, to build connection and purpose between those with emotional illness, to explore philosophical questions and ideas pertaining to the ‘individual’ and most of all to express openly the fears and observances of one who lives artfully and in open communication with her or his emotions and perceptions...a Depressionist. See the tab to the left of the screen to read the articles.
