In the subtleties of your tone you taught
Expounding in visions you sang with your eyes
And I could not help but form

I was the child left over
Your were the captain steering the boat with laughter
Whispering lessons in thought
like a sky has a reason to be blue
in subtleties of your face
you tried to teach me to
Love

Now I watch you, feeling our distance in my throat

Relational transformation
Water to air
As if we had set limits
Intervals of relation and distance
Creation is insistence

Receding in the tide
Are the days when your skin was mine
And my laughter yours
Now what do I say but that I have rabbits for feet
Yet I want to be a blade of grass when I die

I have to release form
The syringe of time
No longer beginning
No longer begging
For a chance to be heal
A chance to be one
Even if through need

Mine own unfettered world

I walk with footsteps you helped create
I am growing up and through
You are seeing futures and falling off roofs
Separately we step on parallel paths
Suspended in space
Waving
Our movements underwater
With nothing between us
As night falls

Father
I let the sun rise now
And the music plays
As we have found our way
